Objective: To understand the current situation of the development of the Jiangsu municipal maternal and children health care hospital, find out the existing problems, and provide the basis for the scientific decision-making of the provincial municipal maternal and child health care institutions in the future development planning and health administrative departments. Method: The data including basic situation, economic operation, medical expenses, service provision and utilization of the maternal and child health care institutions in Jiangsu Province in 2014 were collected from the monitoring System of Jiangsu Maternal and Child Health Center．Results: The development of municipal maternal and children health care hospital is not balanced; the personnel system is insufficient; the government financial investment is insufficient; the medical expenses need to be strengthened control; the utilization rate of hospital bed is high in some cities. Conclusion: Municipal maternal and child health care hospital should strengthen the construction of infrastructure; the personnel preparation should be revised and the talents should be introduced; the government's financial investment in maternal and child health hospital should be increased; reasonably control the level of medical expenses.
