It’s an essential concept of undergraduate education in world-class universities to design and implement the optional courses which are based on general education. The paper summarizes the current situation and problems in our university by comparison of two universities which have medical colleges and a medical university in China, combining the methods of the data analysis and questionnaire statistics. At last gives three steps to improve that are the top design by universities, the middle responsibility of colleges and the faculty development at the grass-roots level.
