Abstract:Objective To understand and analyze the development status and existing problems systematically, so that we could propose some promotive suggestions as reference for promoting the development of the blood donation work. Methods The method of descriptive epidemiologic study was used to collecte related data, which was statistically analyzed by SPSS 13.0. Results (1) The total number of blood donation people and the rate of blood donation population fluctuate but slightly rose in city A and C each year, but the indexes has declined in city B since 2013. Blood donation rate in city A, C and B respectively fluctuated in 11.42‰~16.43‰, 8.01‰~9.39‰ and 5.62 ‰~7.15 ‰. The proportions of 400 ml and twice or more blood donation in B(92%-96% and 55.88%~96%) was higher than those in city A (42%~53% and 36.33%~53%) and city C(10%~23% and 8.56%~23%);(2) The fluctuation of the volume of total blood collection and the whole blood collection in the three cities were the same as that of the total number of blood donation people and the rate of blood donation population. The volume of apheresis platelet in city A and C rose rapidly, and that fluctuated but slightly rose in city B; The trend of volume of clinical blood supply were increasing in city A and B; For nearly three years, the net input blood volume in city A were ranked second and first respectively in each year in Anhui province, while the net output blood volume in city B were ranked first and second respectively. In city C, output volumes were more than the input since 2012, and the output volume of the two in city C were ranked third and first respectively for nearly two years; (3) The blood condemnation rate in city A was the lowest, which were below 10% for three consecutive years, and the condemnation reasons were mainly blood lipids and unqualified ALT in city A and B.(4)The 18~34 years old group was the most and young students were the main body, followed by staff. Conclusion The voluntary blood donation work develop smoothly in Anhui province since 2010, but the total number and volume of voluntary blood donation grew slowly and the blood donation rate was low. The government should further strengthen its role to organize and promote the development of voluntary blood donation work, in order to improve the rate of citizen participation, and reduce the volume of blood condemnation.
