Objective:To reveal the development status of private hospitals in Jiangsu, and provide effective policy recommendations to further encourage and attract the social capital enter madical field.Methods:Using the descriptive analysis and comparative analysis to study the number of private hospitals,the number of beds,human resources,medical service and service efficiency in Jiangsu Province from 2011 to 2015.Results:At present, private hospitals in Jiangsu have experienced rapid growth.The number of hospitals,the number of beds and the amount of services have a rapid growth.But there are still some problems such as lack of market positioning, shortage of medical and health resources, difficulties in policy implementation.Suggestions:Private hospitals should adhere to diversification; strengthen their human resources training; the government should strengthen the supervision of private hoepitals, standardize the medical service market.
