Abstract:Abstract: Purpose: To analyze the features of periodontal specialist education in University of Maryland School of Dentistry, and to provide insights to the periodontal higher education in China. Method: The author underwent three-year specialist training in periodontics and provided a thorough review and analysis of his experience. Conclusion: The periodontal specialist education in University of Maryland School of Dentistry has various highlights which can be incorporated into the development of periodontal higher education in China.
