Abstract::Objective:To investigate the relationships between employment pressure ,career adaptability and suicidal ideation among college students. Methods:The Cluster random sampling was taken for choosing 360 junior and senior students from of five schools of Henan and Fujian provinces, The university graduate employment pressures questionnaire, college students career adaptability questionnaire (CSCAQ) and Self-rating Idea of Suicide Scale (SIOSS) were used for investigation. Results:Significant gender differences were found in employment pressure and suicidal ideation. The employment pressure of the senior students were significantly higher than junior students; The results show that the employment pressure and suicidal ideation of college students are negatively related to positively correlated with career adaptability; and career adaptability and suicidal ideation are negatively related. Multiple regression analysis showed that career adaptability play a mediate role between employment pressure and suicidal ideation. Conclusion:The partly mediation effect of career adaptability on the relationship between employment pressure and suicidal ideation is significant among college graduates.
