With the rapid development of the social and economic level, the society of our country has gradually changed from the small peasant society to the civil society. The private morality of the small peasant society can no longer meet the needs of the modern civil society, and the voice of public morality education has been paid more and more attention by the society and the country.As the carrier and pioneer of moral education curriculum, colleges and universities should take the lead in making the reform of moral education curriculum in accordance with the requirements of the times.This paper tries to analyze the current situation of the study of private and public morality, and puts forward some views on the difference and relationship between them, and puts forward some feasible suggestions for the reform of moral education in colleges and universities in view of the practical problems in moral education in colleges and universities.
