Abstract:Objective: To study the professional identity current situation and factors of students majoring in health service management in medical colleges of Nanjing, and to analyze problems and put forward countermeasures. Methods: By designing questionnaire s , 276 students majoring in health service management from two colleges in Nanjing were selected randomly to participate in the survey. Use stratifiedsampling study according to students’ grade in two colleges and analyze data from the questionnaire with SPSS17.0. Results: Only 13.8% of 276 respondents have a relatively high professional identity, with a low level of identity overall. Respondents who enter the major with first will or are student leaders have a higher professional identity. Over 70% of respondents acknowledge that social practice and more internship are meaningful ways to improve professional identity. Conclusions: Most respondents think that the curriculum system is not reasonable and they suggest that there should be less theoretical courses and more time for internship, which can help students combine theory and practice to work more efficiently.
