Abstract:Abstract: Objective: To investigate the patients’ satisfaction in a dermatological department of a new provincial public hospital from the point of view of doctor-patient interaction. Methods: Convenience sampling method was used to select 218 patients from the outpatient department of dermatology in a provincial public hospital in Nanjing from June 2017 to September 2017. Doctor-patient interaction recording, questionnaires, logistics regression and One-way ANOVA were used to find out factors influencing patient satisfaction during doctor-patient interaction. Results: Satisfaction in the outpatient department of dermatology was not significantly correlated with the demographic characteristics, but with doctors’ linguistic manners, disease interpretation and guidance of drug use. Conclusion: Dermatologists change the language habit, pay attention to the linguistic manners, disease interpretation and guidance of drug use can improve the patient's satisfaction.
