Abstract:Objective: To investigate the utilization to family doctor services of hypertensive patients. Methods: Self-made questionnaires were distributed to 264 hypertensive patients who come from 6 communities administrated by A community healthcare center of Xuanwu District in Nanjing. The cognition and utilization to family doctor services, self-management behavior and the effectiveness of blood pressure control were investigated by means of the questionnaire. Results: 186 patients have family doctors (observation group) with 78 patients without family doctors (control group);55.3% of patients are insufficiently aware of family doctor services;The awareness and the utilization rates to family doctor services in observation group are higher than that in control group(P0.05); Green channel of referral and family medical service are exclusive for patients with family doctors, but utilization rates are both very low; The utilization rates to family doctor services of people with different education background or age are different(P0.05). The compliance on self-management behavior and the effectiveness of blood pressure control in observation group are better than that in control group(P0.05). Conclusion: In order to meet the increasing medical need of residents, it is necessary to make better publicity, cultivate more qualified general practitioners, establish efficient assessing and incentive mechanism, improve supporting policy and measures and create doctor-patient relationship based on friendship.
