Abstract: Objective：To provide reference for the supervision of centralized TCM decoction for patients in the suburb of Nanjing. Methods: Current situation and existing problems of operation mode were investigated and analyzed through the methods of field visits, interviews, and questionnaires facing to medical institutions, drug distributors and experts. Results: In the two aspects of legitimacy and standardization, the present problems of the quality and safety include institutions’ qualification; prescription circulation; prescription checking; prescription dispensing; decocting process; package label; treatment of drug residue, etc. Conclusion: It is to provide more safe, convenient and high quality services by means of improving the threshold of access, establishing register records system, perfecting traceability system.
