The quality of the English translation of hospital signage is associated with national image. However, in China, there remains much room for improvement of the English translation of hospital signage. This paper, on the basis of a review of domestic research, finds out that further research is needed to answer the call for greater depth and breadth of domestic research. More importantly, this paper tries to analyze how high-quality bilingual hospital signage is produced, which may help improve the quality of the English translation of hospital signage in China.
