Abstract:Abstract: Objective: Analysis of the Inequalities in Maternal Mortality in different regions. Methods: Using the statistical yearbook data of 2010-2013 years, the concentration index was draw to evaluate the health equity of maternal mortality. Results: From 2009 to 2012, the maternal mortality rates in the eastern, central and western regions of China decreased by 33.42%, 30.34% and 34.45% respectively. The concentration curve was draw by per capita GDP: The eastern, central and western concentrated curves were mostly distributed above the equality line, and the eastern region was more deviated from the equality line, while the central region was closer to the equality line. Draw concentration curve based on the comparison of consumption level between urban and rural areas: Most of the eastern, central and western concentration curves were under the equal line, of which the eastern region was more deviated from the equal line, while the central and western regions were roughly equal to the equality line. Conclusions: These results show that the maternal mortality level in China has been improved in general, but the rapid economic and social development may bring some local areas of the health distribution imbalance, pay attention to efficiency at the same time, to give considerations to equity.
