【Abstract】Objective: To explore the effect. on social workers and volunteer services in the patients with depression undergoing colorectal cancer surgery.Methods: Evaluation depression patients with colorectal cancer using SDS( Self-Rating Depression Scale) by social workers and volunteers, who after counselor training. Depressed patients were randomly divided into two groups,observation group using social workers and volunteer services intervention mode and the control group received routine care model.SDS score, qualification rate of colostomy related knowledge and qualification rate of change ostomy bag were compared for the two groups after one month.Results: the observation group had a significantly lower SDS score than the control group, had a significantly higher qualification rate in colostomy related knowledge and change ostomy bag than the control group.Conclusion:Social workers and volunteers service colorectal cancer patients, will help reduce the patient's depression, improve patient engagement stoma care self-consciousness, promote patient rehabilitation.
