66 medical damage cases in the Yangtze River Delta Cancer Hospital from 2013 to 2017 were analyzed to understand the characteristics and causes. We propose measures to prevent and mitigate disputes. The cases are concentrated in Jiangsu and Shanghai. The majority of the patients involved are middle-aged and elderly. They are often involved in surgery, treatment, diagnosis and notification. The patient or family claims are expected to be too high. In this regard, The doctors pay attention to patients' humanistic care and further improve the technical level of medical staff . The hospital implement the informed consent system and strengthen the construction of medical quality management system. we should strengthen the public cancer knowledge promotion.
