This paper listed the advantage and necessity of standardized training for general practitioners in the department of geriatric medicine of three A hospital after analyzing the present situation of the general practitioner training in our country and the common features of general medicine and geriatric medicine. Then it introduced general practitioners in geriatric medicine as the main training base of standardization training work practice, to explore the clinic - ward "community -" three-dimensional teaching, specialized subject one-on-one mentoring and the entire teaching, a variety of comprehensive evaluation of training effect evaluation mechanism, increase in the general practitioner's ability quality. The existing problems were also analyzed in promotion of the standardized training of general practitioners based on geriatric department around the country. This paper provides ideas for the reform of the standardized training mode of general practitioners.
