Objective To understand the cognition of physicians toward multi- sited policy in the existing policy, find out the obstruction of its implement, and provide countermeasures for its improvement. Methods Self -designed questionnaires were used to investigate117 physicians and 38 hospital"s administrators in public hospitals in Jiangsu Province, and depth interviews were used to the administrators meanwhile. Results A majority of physicians and hospital"s administrators have stayed on the sidelines. The situation may be caused by the concern that medical and administrative order would be broken and unclear parties liable for medical malpractice. Conclusion laws, regulations and supporting systems should be improved to promote the implementation and explore more feasible models of multi-site practice.
