Abstract:In this research, we analyze the current situation of training for Primary Health Care teams and assistant general practitioners in Jiangsu Province. The results indicate that the training for three-year clinical medical students has accelerated the construction scale of general medical team facing the rural areas and the scale of construction achieved initial efficacy. However, it is still urgent to further improve the quality and service capacity and narrow the gap between urban and rural areas. In view of the current situation of training for general medical students in Jiangsu Province, we try to explore novel mechanisms that how to cooperate with college education to enhance the training quality for the "3+2" assistant general practitioners. Besides, we further issued a series of recommendations and initiatives focused on improvement of systems, enhancement of organization and responsibility, elevation of teaching faculty, standardized training for general practitioners and the construction community teaching centers and so on.
