Abstract:Objective To understand the status of cognition,attitude toward hospice care of undergraduate students in a medical university and its influencing factors and to give suggestions for hospice care education in China. Methods 520 undergraduate students from the medical university were selected for questionnaire survey by convenient sampling method. Results The results of the analysis indicated that cognition and attitude of the medical university were positively correlated (r=0.430,P<0.001).The past hospice care education situation,perceived social support,meaning in life are the influencing factors of hospice care attitude,The interaction between social support and meaning in life affects hospice care attitude and indirectly affects hospice care cognition(all P<0.05). Conclusions It is suggested that the comprehensive hospice education, comprehension of social support and sense of life as the focus of medical undergraduate hospice education to improve the cognition and attitude of medical undergraduates on hospice care.
