Abstract:Abstract Objective To explore the relationship between college students' disgust sensitivity, pathological narcissism and self- disgust. Methods The Pathological Narcissism Inventory, Disgust Scale-Revised Chinese and the Chinese version of Self-Disgust Scale were used to measure 536 college students in three universities in Anhui province. Results Pathological narcissism was positively correlated with disgust sensitivity (r=0.262, P<0.01), and positively correlated with self- disgust (P<0.01). The total score of disgust sensitivity was not correlated with self- disgust (r= 0.026, P >0.05), and the core disgust factors in the disgust sensitivity scale were significantly negatively correlated with self- disgust (r=-0.119, P<0.01). The total effect of disgust sensitivity on self- disgust was not significant, with the effect value of 0.040(P >0.05). The direct effect was significant ,the effect value was -0.121(P <0.001). The indirect effect was significant, with an effect value of 0.081(P <0.001). Conclusion pathological narcissism has a masking effect between disgust sensitivity and self- disgust.
