Objective：To promote the refinement of hospital operation management by implementing the system of specialized operation assistant. Methods: Establishing a professional hospital operation management team, to clarify the job content of the specialized operation assistant position, analyze the operating conditions of the hospital departments, evaluate the distribution of various resource, and participate in the management of department performance, process and project management. Results: Medical service capabilities of the hospital departments constantly grow and the cost are controlled appropriately; the staff’s enthusiasm is enhanced after optimization of the performance scheme; the hospital departments’ process is optimized and the operation efficiency is significantly improved. Conclusion: The specialized operation assistants would find the problems in the operation of the hospital departments and improve it in a timely manner by evaluating the hospital department resources such as personnel, financial resources, materials, space and process. The establishment of the specialized operation assistant system would promote the transformation of the hospital management mode from experience-based and extensive to scientific and refined, so as to realize the refined operation management.
