Abstract:Objectives: To determine the health related quality of life (HRQoL) of patients with stroke and identify its influencing factors based on EQ-5D-3L scale. Methods: Data meet the research requirements were extracted from CHARLS dataset. Basing on EQ-5D-3L scale, the health utility values was measured to reflect HRQoL according to a Chinese general population-based time trade-off value set. K-W test and Tobit regression model were applied to identify the influencing factors on HRQoL of patients with stroke. Results: A total of 348 patients were included in the study, with the mean health utility value of 0.62±0.23. Gender, education level, marital status, sleep duration, smoking status, frequency of social activities and BMI have different effects on HRQoL of patients with stroke. Conclusions: Low HRQoL was common in the patients with stroke. Hospitals, communities and any authorities concerned should take various measures to improve patients" cognitive ability of stroke. According to various controllable risk factors, patients should be advocated to adopt healthier lifestyle.
