The paper?reviews the relationship between medical knowledge and society in modern times. It also?analyzes that the reason for the social prejudice of Chinese medicine among modern intellectuals is that the scientific knowledge of western medicine is needed by the society. Therefore, it?differentiates the two kinds of medicine from different value orientations. This paper?compares Liang Qichao's editorials published in the public domain with private letters to illustrate the appearance and operation of prejudice against Chinese medicine in society.
