Canton hospital is the source of modern Chinese medicine. This paper briefly reviews the research achievements of Canton hospital in China and the other foreign countries in the past one hundred years, summarizes the research of methods and orientation, points out the gaps that need to be filled further, and provides reference for promoting the theoretical research and discipline construction of Chinese medical history.
