Abstract:In order to improve the teachers’ willingness to accept virtual reality (VR) in medical education, we analyzed the influencing factors of teachers’ willingness to apply virtual reality in medical education based on Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) through questionnaire survey. The data were analyzed by the partial least square structural equation model (PLS-SEM). Totally 356 questionnaires were obtained. The reliability and validity of questionnaire were adequate and the research model was rational. The findings showed that social influence (SI)( β=0.537, p<0.001) had the strongest positive effect on behavioral intention followed by performance expectancy (PE)(β=0.313, p<0.001) but effort expectancy(EE)(β=-0.104,p>0.05) and facilitating conditions (FC) (β=0.094,p>0.05) don not have effects on behavioral intention. In order to promote the application of VR in medical education, we may strengthen PE, increase SI, strengthen cooperation and exchanges, and promote resource sharing.
