Abstract:The operation data of three typical specialized-disease wards were collected retrospectively from records of cardiovascular department of a tertiary hospital in Nanjing date 2019 to 2021. The DRG core indicators were analyzed by the Medical Records and Statistics Room, and the health insurance cost data were analyzed by the Medical Insurance Division. The differences between the specialized-disease wards and ordinary wards were compared. Different specialized-disease wards of the Cardiovascular department operate with their own characteristics. The electrophysiological disease ward is characterized as high difficulty in interventional operation and high cost of health insurance, whereas the coronary heart disease ward is characterized as low cost of health insurance and quick patients turnover. Distinctive from general disease ward, the specialized-disease ward is much more advanced in centralized disease types, more interventional treated patients. The optimization of department operation, the promotion of academic development, and the intensification of cost control, could all be achieved through the construction of specialized-disease wards, it is arguably a new way of development and operation for the future of cardiovascular department.
