Taking 735 articles in CNKI database and 31185 articles in the Web Of Science Core?Collection as research samples, using CiteSpace software for visual metrology analysis.There are difference between domestic research and foreign research in the stage of research theme evolution and the main topics of telemedicine research.The main research include following 4 topics: interaction between telemedicine and health system reform, telemedicine application mode and service form development, application of telemedicine in specialized field of diseases, the evaluation of telemedicine. Further analysis shows that future research should pay more attention to the four topics: transition from telemedicine to smart medicine, new policy should take into implement to overcome barriers of telemedicine development, a new stage of telemedicine development from the perspective of rural revitalization, and a new demand for the whole life cycle oriented to clinical value.
