Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era have been a hot spot and frontier issue in academic research in recent years. The bibliometric software CiteSpace was used to visually analyze 1074 documents included in CSSCI source journals since the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. It is found that the research hotspots mainly focus on the generation, meaning, philosophical implication and theoretical arming of new ideas, and have the characteristics of obvious problem orientation, detailed thematic perspective and in-depth practical research. Standing at the starting point of a new journey, it is necessary to further expand the scope of research discourse, respond to practical concerns, innovate research methods, and broaden international perspectives, so as to provide a reference for future research approaches.
