Abstract:As an important part of human organs, teeth are of great significance to their health. Since Ming and Qing Dynasties, dental problems have been discussed in detail in medical theory, but in daily practice, ordinary people's attention to teeth is not satisfactory. In the second half of the 19th century, Western dentistry was introduced into China, and the modern dental knowledge that was different from the past gradually came into people's vision. Under the double promotion of society and the state, the means of dissemination of modern dental knowledge is constantly enriched, and the range of dissemination is more and more extensive. Through mass media, lectures and exhibitions, school education and national publicity, modern dental knowledge has been further disseminated, reminding people to take care of dental health and reshaping health concepts. At the same time, modern dental knowledge has been gradually constructed into a comprehensive discourse of science, health, capital and politics.
