Since the first proposal and development in Nanjing in 2017, "family elderly care beds" have become an important layout of elderly care services in China during the 14th Five Year Plan period, attracting strong social attention. The "Family Elderly Care Bed" is an innovative elderly care service model that provides an integrated home based elderly care service that combines medical care, nursing care, and various resources integration for elderly people, especially those with disabilities and dementia. The emergence and development of "family elderly care beds" have many advantages in alleviating the pressure of family care, improving the specialization of family care, and reducing the economic burden of family elderly care. However, due to the short time of its emergence and development, and the varying levels of development in different regions, there are currently problems such as insufficient standardization construction, insufficient relevant policies and regulations, unclear service development direction, and obvious insufficient integration of medical and nursing resources. This article briefly sorts out and proposes countermeasures based on academic research and the current situation of practice in various regions: the academic community should increase research efforts and broaden the breadth and depth of related research on "family elderly care beds" in China from a theoretical perspective; In practical work, we should improve the policy system, accelerate the standardization construction of family elderly care beds, attach importance to the orderly integration of medical and elderly care resources, and promote the steady progress of family elderly care beds from the operational level, promoting the high-quality development of China's health industry.
