Abstract:Abstract:The article analyzes the current epidemic situation of latent syphilis in Yangzhou City based on the latent syphilis monitoring data from 2014 to 2023, and proposes prevention and control strategy recommendations. The results show that 12,077 cases of latent syphilis were reported in Yangzhou City from 2014 to 2023, with an increasing trend in incidence; the incidence in males is slightly higher than in females; the 50-<60 years group has the highest number of patients (20.31%), followed by the 70-<80 years group (19.28%) and the 60-<70 years group (18.18%); farmers are the main affected population (45.50%); and the majority of cases are local residents (89.62%). Based on this situation, and in conjunction with the actual work on latent syphilis in our city, the following prevention and control strategy recommendations for latent syphilis in Yangzhou are proposed: enrich the methods of publicity, enhance the effectiveness of information dissemination, to raise public awareness of prevention and control; emphasize diagnosis and treatment management, improve the monitoring system; improve relevant laws and regulations, and actively seek policy support to provide institutional guarantees for prevention and control work; strengthen inter-departmental resource integration, promote multi-level cooperation mechanisms, and form a joint effort; mobilize social forces, rely on specific projects to carry out effective implementation, and make full use of the positive roles of all parties; focus on the coordinated development of technological innovation and incentive policies, to enhance the overall effectiveness of syphilis prevention and control work.
