The Yangtze River Delta region is one of the most innovative, inclusive, and deeply aging regions in China. In order to actively respond to and solve the objective fact of deep aging in the region, it is necessary to use innovative elderly care models (smart elderly care) to address the needs of elderly care. At present, there is relatively little research on regional collaboration in smart elderly care among domestic scholars. At present, there are a series of problems in the coordinated development of smart elderly care in the Yangtze River Delta region, such as prominent contradictions in supply and demand structure, insufficient standardized development, poor cross regional cooperation, and incomplete construction of integrated platforms. It is urgent to expand and strengthen the smart elderly care industry chain, establish cross regional coordination and cooperation mechanisms, support rural community smart elderly care, strengthen the construction of professional talent teams, and absorb and learn from foreign experience, in order to promote the high-quality coordinated development of smart elderly care in the Yangtze River Delta region.
