The integration of medicine and prevention aims to break the gap between public health and medical service system, and build a comprehensive and three-dimensional health service system through the seamless docking of prevention and medical resources. From the perspective of historical evolution, the integration of medical care and prevention has evolved from the dominance of public logic in the era of planned economy, to the gradual penetration of market mechanism after reform and opening up, and then to the understanding of the new era that attaches equal importance to public responsibility and market vitality under the new wave of medical reform. From the perspective of realistic narrative, according to the dual attributes of public and market, the integration of medical prevention and treatment can be divided into the type of medical prevention and treatment stagnation, the type of medical prevention and treatment neglect, the type of heavy prevention and treatment neglect and the type of medical prevention and treatment integration. Each type reflects different aspects and challenges in current practice. In order to cope with these challenges, the strategy of process promotion should be adopted to continuously optimize the ecology of medical and prevention integration, and rely on the dual enabling mode of "system - technology" to accelerate the efficiency and service quality of medical and prevention integration, and finally build a new pattern of medical and health management that is efficient and collaborative and covers the whole life cycle.
