Abstract:To understand the current development status of community-based elderly care services, this study sampled 617 elderly people from different types of communities in Gulou District, Nanjing, and analyzed the needs, utilization, and influencing factors of community-based elderly care services. Research has found that the awareness rate, willingness rate, utilization rate, and satisfaction rate of the survey subjects regarding community-based elderly care services are 70.02%, 60.78%, 43.92%, and 85.24%, respectively. Overall, the utilization rate is not high; There were significant differences (P<0.001) in the awareness, willingness, and utilization rates of elderly people in different communities; There were significant differences in the willingness rate and utilization rate among elderly people of different ages and physical conditions (P<0.001); The problem of mismatch and imbalance between supply and demand of community-based elderly care services is prominent; Low utilization of spiritual comfort and medical related services; The willingness, utilization, and awareness of home-based elderly care services are influenced by community resources and services.
