Abstract: In order to understand the operation of the mental health system in Nantong and further improve the construction of the mental health medical system in Nantong, this study conducted descriptive statistical analysis by selecting data related to the severe mental disorder management system in Nantong from 2021 to 2024.As of 2024, a total of 39404 patients with severe mental disorders were registered in Nantong, with a reported prevalence rate of 5.09‰. The majority of patients with female,who were accounting for 56.25%, and mainly diagnosed with schizophrenia, accounting for 73.83%, aged 45 years and above, accounting for 73.83%. From 2021 to 2024, the reported incidence rate（χ2=260.8335, P?0.001）and management rate (χ2=158.6296, P?0.001); Standardized management rate (χ2=160.7442, P?0.001); Medication rate (χ2=7245.7594,P?0.001); Regular medication rate (χ2=14527.4337, P?0.001); Visiting rates (χ2=2437.6895, P?0.001), Health examination rate（χ2=16402.6748，P?0.001All have differences and which is relatively high and generally a trend of increasing with the years. The reported prevalence of severe mental disorders in Nantong, and patient rates vary in different districts and counties of Nantong , In addition, Nantong City should focus on the elderly, female population, schizophrenia and the group of family caregivers population
