Strengthening medical humanistic care and enhancing mutual trust and communication between doctors and patients is the main purpose of the "Action Plan for Enhancing Medical Humanistic Care (2024-2027)" and also an important research topic in China"s medical and health industry and medical education field at present. Narrative medicine advocates the integration of literature and medicine, using literary close reading and reflective writing to cultivate the narrative ability of medical students and medical staff, and has become a powerful tool for the implementation of medical humanism. This article, based on the concept of narrative medicine, explores the foundation, achievements, potential problems and challenges of the integration of literature and medicine and attempts to provide new ideas and new explorations for the construction and development of medical humanism.
