Abstract:Abstract:With the evolution of medical models and the advancement of health and wellness initiatives, hospital environmental design is no longer merely about providing spaces for medical activities—it must also embody the therapeutic attributes of humanistic care. Large public comprehensive hospitals shoulder the dual responsibilities of treating illnesses and delivering comprehensive health-healing spaces. Against the backdrop of the new medical paradigm and the "comprehensive health" concept, this paper adopts a doctor-patient integration perspective. By reviewing domestic and international research on the construction of therapeutic environments in hospitals and integrating practical insights, it elaborates on the vital relationship between doctor-patient integration and the development of therapeutic environments. It identifies existing challenges in current construction practices and, using the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Science and Technology as a case study, systematically explores implementation pathways for building therapeutic hospital environments from four perspectives: environmental inclusiveness, therapeutic effectiveness, humanistic design, and smart infrastructure. The paper proposes targeted development strategies to provide references for related practices.
