Objective: To compare the teaching effects of two different performance rating systems. Methods: The test system reform and comprehensive evaluation were carried out including emphasizing the practice operation, taking care of the whole process of study, making the purpose of study clear, and increasing comprehensive analysis test to cultivate practice innovation, clinical thinking and ability on analyzing and solving problem. The scores before and after the test reform of two grades students were compared and a questionnaire survey for the students and teachers was used. Results: The students’ scores after the test reform had been improved. The number of low scored students had been reduced. Most of the students would like to select the comprehensive evaluation system. Conclusion: The comprehensive evaluation system makes the students focus on the whole process of studying, makes the evaluation be more objective, and contributes to the improvement of the teaching quality.
