The article discusses the main causes of medical disputes lies in the social transformation and system loss,changes in modes of diagnosis and treatment,the doctor’s medical technology and medical ethics,patient’s medical literacy and medical views,and media interventions in the period of Republic of China. For reducing the incidence of doctor-patient dispute,they take attention to ethics,building and perfecting the legal system of measures. Those given for current medical dispute prompted that disputes between doctors and patients is widespread,and it will be more frequent in the period of social transformation. The perfection of the system is one of the means to reduce disputes,the construction of medical morals still needs to improve,and popular medical literacy also will be an eternal topic.
