The 19th CPC National Congress established Xi Jinping’s socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era as guiding ideology of CPC and demonstrated the people?centered development opinion in China. It is to inherit and promote Marxism?Leninism and Mao Zedong thought in the new era. In the construction of socialist with Chinese characteristics, people’s health is being emphasized highly and Healthy China development has become the national strategy. Based on analyzing the characteristics of Chinese health services in the new era, the authors deeply identified the challenges to health services and raised four policy recommendations for pushing forward the development of health services with Chinese characteristics in the new era：①Government officials should transfer their opinions and really integrated health into all policies. ②Government health accountability for people should be carried out through strengthening the target of ensuring basic health. ③Health system should achieve diversified development to meet people’s health need at different levels. ④We should improve the social security system construction to ensure equity in health care.
