Abstract:A survey with self?made questionnaire was undertaken to 912 randomly selected patients in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province. Descriptive analysis and Logistic regression analysis were used to analyze the status quo of medical participation and its influencing factors. The degree of patients’ overall experience and participation was relatively high. The highest score and lowest score were 4.14 ± 0.68, 3.68 ± 0.69, respectively, in dimensions of notification and participation of treatment decision?making. The results of single factor analysis and unordered multi?class Logistic regression analysis showed that there were differences in patient type, age of patients, type of disease, and etc. Medical institutions should identify patients’ preferences and personality, and then encourage their participation. Medical staff and the general public should transform traditional conceptions, and establish a new mode of doctor?patient communication.
