In order to understand the willingness of the elderly people in Wuhu City to choose the hospice care service, to analyze the influencing factors and provide the basis for the establishment of the elderly hospice care service system, this study selected 642 elderly people from Wuhu City to conduct a survey using a questionnaire survey. The results showed that 47.0% of the elderly chose a comprehensive hospital hospice care ward, 28.0% chose community health service agencies, 13.6% chose independent hospice care institutions, and only 11.4% chose aged care institutions. The gender, educational level and marital status of the elder people have a significant impact on the willingness of hospice care institutions to choose. As the aging of Wuhu City continues to increase, the demand for hospice care services continues to increase. There is an objective need for the elderly to be equipped with hospice care wards in general hospitals. Community health service centers, independent hospice care institutions and aged care institutions provide more choices for the elder people with different needs for strained tight medical resources.
