A total of 442 trainees in a training base in Chongqing were selected for the electronic questionnaire survey. Data were analyzed by statistical methods such as descriptive statistics, test of difference and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that residents’ total satisfaction with standardized training was 3.88. Significant differences(P<0.05) in satisfaction with standardized training for residents were found between groups of different educational background, stress degree, sleep quality, and the demand for psychological courses. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that the main influencing factors of total satisfaction were sleep quality, gender and marriage status. The total satisfaction among residents with standardized training was at a medium level. The compensation from salary was still the main problem for residents’ satisfaction. Residents’ satisfaction with standardized training could be improved through relieving career stress, focusing on the pressure and work load, enhancing the humanistic care and sense of belonging, paying attention to residents’ psychological counseling, and continuously improving policies and management systems of standardized training for residents.
