This article briefly retrospected the courses and main achievements of reform and development of medical security systems in China, analyzed 8 major problems those need to be further studied, such as establishment of continuable funding mechanism and etc., defined the basic meaning of medical security with Chinese characteristics. From 5 aspects of enhancing the continuity of medical security systems, presented 16 detailed plans and suggestions.
