The paper reviews the relationship between medical knowledge and society in modern times， and analyzes the reason for the social prejudice of traditional Chinese medicine among modern intellectuals is the scientific knowledge of western medicine which is needed by the society. Therefore， it differentiates into two kinds of medicine from different value orientations. This paper compares Liang Qichao’s editorials published in the public domain with private letters to illustrate the appearance and operation of the prejudice against traditional Chinese medicine in the society.
