Methods: From June 1988 to June 2005,78 cases of central lung cancer underwent combined surgery procedure of bronchial sleeve resection and other surgery procedures, Brochial sleeve figuration and resection were performed in 57 cases, bronchial and arterial resection performed in 15 cases and carinal resection and reconstruction in 6 cases. Results:There was no operative death. 7 patients had operative complications. The rate of operative complication was 8.86 % (7/78). The survial rate at 12,36,60 months and 10 years was 78.5%,59.5%,35.4% and 17.7% respectively. Conclusion:Bronchial sleeve resection, or comblined with arterial sleeve resection, can significantly preserve pulmonary function, improve the prognosis and increase the curative rate and long-term in patients with central lung cancer.
