Abstract:Objective:To study the changes and clinical significance of serum interleukin-6(IL-6), C-reactive protein(CRP),von willebrang factor(VWF) and plasma P-selectin(Ps) in pigs in different stages after left atrial appendage transcatheter occlusion. Methods:Occlusion group with 12 shuzhong pigs and control group with 5 pigs were used in the experiment. The changes of serum IL-6,CRP,VWF and plasma Ps were measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) before the operation, immediately at the operation, and 1,3 month after the operation. Results:In occlusion group, the levels of serum IL-6,CRP,VWF and Ps were higher at immediate time after occlusion than those of before occlusion(P < 0.05), but the levels of them at 1 month and 3 month after the occlusion were as high as those of before occlusion(P > 0.05). In control group, the levels of serum IL-6,CRP,VWF and Ps were higher at immediate time after operation than those of before the left atrial appendage transcatheter occlusion(P < 0.05). There were no significant difference in the levels of serum IL-6,CRP, VWF and Ps in different stages after the operation between the occlusion group and the control group(P > 0.05). Conclusion:Levels of serum IL-6, CRP, VWF and Ps temporarily increased at immediate time after the operation. This observation showed the satisfactory biocompatibility, feasibility and safety of the domestic nitinol left atrial appendage occluder.
