Abstract:Objective:To explore the possible role of JWA in the process of adhesion, migration and invasion of human hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). Methods:The small interfering RNA(siRNA) was used to inhibit JWA expression in HCC cell line MHCC97L,and its effects on cell adhesion, migration and invasion were investigated. Results:Depletion of JWA caused a notable increase in cell adhesion, migration and invasion potential of MHCC97L. Conclusion:This study showed that reduced JWA expression in MHCC97L was associated with tumor adhesion, migration and invasion potential, indicating that JWA may be a metastasis suppressor gene for hepatocellular carcinoma.
