In order to meet personnel training need under new medical modle, the elective course in stomatological sciences ——“Tooth Cosmetology and Prosthodontics” was carried out and mainly faced the students with non-stomatological sciences major. Through questionnaire survey, the necessity of the course, the arrangement as well as the effect of the curriculum were investigated and analysized. The result indicated that through 2-year-teaching practice, 96% students held welcome manner to “Tooth Cosmetology and Prosthodontics” and 98.4% students thought that they almost achieved the anticipated study purpose. This selective course has got the anticipated teaching progress.
