Abstract:Mentoring plays an important role in foreign students’ clinical practice. Nanjing First Hospital affiliated to Nanjing Medical University,as a pilot,first introduced mentoring to foreign students’ clinical practice. The hospital initially established a new mentoring model for foreign students at clinical practice and then implemented it in accordance with PDCA cycle (plan-do-check-assessment) principle. After two years of operation,it achieved good practical results,which was welcomed both by students and teachers. However,there also existed some problems. In this article,the determination,implementation,supervision and evaluation (four PDCA cycle control) of mentoring model adopted by Nanjing Medical University have been analyzed to discuss its achievements as well as its problems,and then improvement measures were brought forth accordingly.
